What PAWformance is (and isn't), how it fits alongside your vet's care plan, suitability for senior and recovering dogs, pricing, and where we operate.
PAWformance Victoria is a mobile canine fitness studio. A purpose-built, climate-controlled van pulls up to your driveway and your dog steps into a private workout space equipped with slatmill treadmills. Every session is supervised one-on-one by a Canine First Aid certified handler. You stay on site or carry on with your day — the choice is yours.
PAWformance is a fitness conditioning service, not a dog-training program, not a daycare, and not a veterinary clinic. We do not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or provide rehabilitation therapy. If your dog has an ongoing medical or behavioural issue, we work alongside the professionals already supporting them.
No — PAWformance is complementary to veterinary care, never a replacement. We follow your vet's recommendations and, on request, can provide written progress notes after sessions so your vet stays informed. Any pacing, duration, or intensity adjustments are made in line with existing guidance from your dog's care team.
For dogs recovering from surgery or managing orthopedic conditions, we require veterinary clearance before the first session. We want every dog here to be cleared and ready — that's what keeps the work safe and keeps us aligned with your vet's goals for your dog.
Many senior dogs do well with structured, low-impact conditioning. Slatmill work on a level, consistent surface can be gentler on joints than outdoor walks on uneven ground — there are no sudden changes in incline, no slippery patches, and no unexpected stops. We design every session around the individual dog: starting conservatively, monitoring throughout, and adjusting pace and duration as we go.
For dogs who are post-surgical, in active rehabilitation, or under a medically managed care plan, we require written veterinary clearance before we begin. We do not replace the work of rehabilitation therapists or specialists; we operate within the boundaries they define.
PAWformance does not claim to cure or treat any condition. Our role is structured physical conditioning that supports your dog's overall wellbeing — under the guidance of the veterinary professionals who know your dog best.
All new clients start with the $49 Canine Fitness tier, a one-time baseline visit. From there, PAWformance offers the $260 Conditioning package with four visits or the $580 Rehab package with eight supervised visits. Founding-member pricing is available while we're in pre-launch, so the sooner you join, the better the rate you lock in.
See the pricing page for the full breakdown of tiers, packages, and what each includes. If your area is on the waitlist rather than active yet, joining now is still the best way to secure founding-member rates when we launch in your zone.
PAWformance is currently active in Saanich, the Victoria Core, and Esquimalt. View Royal, Langford, and Oak Bay are on the waitlist — we're expanding into those zones as capacity allows.
See the full zone map for active and waitlist boundaries. If your neighbourhood isn't listed yet, join the waitlist and you'll be among the first to know when we launch in your area.
